BOWIE IS FINALLY BACK! ONE OF MY TOP 3 BOWIE ALBUMS.

I've been playing this album almost constantly since it's release. Bowie is at his artistic best here, showing off his mature songwriting ability. This album is another testimony to the magic that happens whenever Bowie and Eno team up. There are a lot of catchy tunes (what else can you expect?) and a lot of brilliant, groundbreaking ideas on this album. Wherever you are, if you don't own this album, you're mising out on one of the greatest artistic and intellectual commentaries on modern society.

It's about time Bowie got back on track!! This album is so amazing. It's conceptual, so it's only for people that can listen to intelligence in music. There are some catchy tunes, like Strangers When We Meet and The Heart's Filthy Lesson, and there are also songs where the music conveys the mood and atmosphere. Man, I can't wait for the sequel!

Yes, superb. Dark, witty, confident, vulnerable... you name it. Still very modern, blows most ambient out of the water, but can rock when it needs to as well. Some of it, like some of the sleeve notes and particularly the brief monologues which punctuate the album, are very reminiscent of Blue Jam. Only they came before Blue Jam. That said, he gets a bit over absorbed in the sleeve notes and forgets he''s taking the piss. Or is he? An ''ultra gothic drama rancid hyper cycle'', I ask you. (Ian).
Only on my second listen....extremely dark but extremely good. First half very good...Bowie changes his voice to meet the different characters....it`s a concept album, so if you`re looking for singles off this album you won`t find many...Strangers When We Meet probably the only song you can consider mainstream....the rest is very different. Good Album though
