Comments for Faith Global, The Same MistakesFaith Global is Stevie Shears (ex-Ultravox! guitarist) and Jason Guy.To be terse, this band is nothing but a John Foxx rip-off. Jason Guy does hisbest to sound just like John Foxx and the songs are written in an `Ultravox!`fashion. The songs aren`t bad and I do realize that because he was in Ultravox!some of their sound would carry over, but even a glass eye couldsee what these guys are up to. It makes you wonder why Stevie left Ultravox! inthe first place. When this album first came out, my friends and I `shredded` it. Now we find it pretty amusing. For those interested, they also released an e.p.entitled, Earth Report.---Don`t Even Think About It.soyez1@gmail.com Sounds like Bowie, as much as Foxx sounded like Bowie, as much as Japan/Sylvian sounded like Bowie etc.. Yes one Could only listen to Roxy Music and Bowie as they were the first; but Faith Global adds a bit to it all. Great Guitar Sounds, Stevie Shears dominated HA! HA! HA!, the Ultravox! record, so it's no suprise that he's making the same noises a couple of years later. THese records are definately worth a listen, and hold up a lot better than the Midge Sidburn show, or the Golden Feilds of Sunflowers John Foxx period.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
