My mistake--it was Martine St. Clair on "Closer Together". Sass Jordan still sings on several tracks, though.

I'm sorry that I haven't listened to this one as of yet,but was wondering what is the name of thier first album. I love the Box! Terrence P. Heinz

"Closer Together" shows a distinct change in lyrical stylings from their two previous albums. It is far less thematic, presenting a variety of songs which are, in some ways much more inviting to the new listener. It is also far more radio-friendly, and marks the completion of their transition from the more alternative (to the usual pop styles) to the mainstream of Canadian pop/rock. The writing is generally strong, with an exceptional track being "Crying Out Loud for Love". Unfortunately, it is not up to the level of "All the Time..." A strong album none the less.

Just an addition to my previous comment - check out the song "Tell Me a Story" on this album. This is definitely one of their best songs yet.
The Box`s third album shows an increasing maturity, both lyricallyand melodically. One of their backup singers on this album, and especiallyon the hit title track, was Sass Jordan(q.v.)
