Comments for SSQ, PlaybackSSQ were one of the forerunners of syncopated Synthpop in Americaduring the early 1980`s and one of the first bands signed to the now defunct Enigma Records. Their songs were very bright pop, almost commercial, that combined female vocals withpercolating synthesizers and Simmons Electronic Drums. The singer, Stacey Swain,went on to commercial Pop stardom under the name Stacey Q whilethe chief songwriter, Jon St. James, pursued a career as a producerand a solo artist.---Good, but may be too commercial for some.
