Comments for The Nazz, Nazz III

An erratic last album from Philadelphia`s Nazz. Everything starts off great with the groovy "Some People", followed bythe upbeat "Only One Winner", and a coverof Paul Revere andThe Raiders` "Kicks", but then slumps into inactivity with"Resolution" and "It`s Not That Easy". "Old Time Lovemaking"is corny and the horn lines remind me of all those bad Chicagoalbums. "Magic Me" tries to hard to rock and comes off asway too forced. "Loosen Up" is a parody of Archie Bell and The Drells` "Tighten Up". It has a great groove but unfortunatelyfalls into silliness. "Take The Hand" and "How Can You Call That Beautiful?" is more mush. "Plenty Of Lovin`" is a lounge/bluestune that`s sung horribly and played sloppy. "ChristopherColumbus" is a dorky rocker about- you guessed it -ChristopherColumbus. The album closes with "You Are My Window", in whichTodd Rundgren rambles on and on for over five minutes. Nota great final album to say the least.
