Comments for Manowar, Battle hymns

Their first album - itīs not the typical Manowar-sound.

Well for a first album pretty good. Yet some songs just dont have anything special to offer. Thats the case of a Death tone, Fast taker and shell shock. Metal daze is classic nowadays, Manowar is also very catchy , Williams tale is just demonstration of demaios bass skills (i cant help , but i have noticed few mistakes). Dark avenger is at some points similar to later Defender, introducing powerful voice of Orson Welles. And ultimately, the best song is without doubt Battle hymns, which somehow describes the future manowar style. Epic, full of fighting atmosphere, cool riffs and amazing Adams voice.
