Comments for Vulgar Unicorn, Sleep With The Fishes

This album is more creative and diverse than ''Under the Umbrella'', but also more disjointed. Whereas the ''sections'' of UTU had a ongoing structure/story (albeit somewhat obscure), with recurring themes, building to a mindblowing conclusion, SWTF impacts as a series of unconnected soundscapes, which act as a showcase for the band to demonstrate their versatility and diverse influences. Having said this, it does carry it off with style, including some gorgeous sounds and moods (the first two tracks are awsome). It''s a real challenge to listen to the whole album - a challenge to the pigeonholing of musical styles - this is true progressive music. A masterful collage, even if sometimes it feels as if they are trying too hard to include every musical style they can !. If you care about music and want to be challenged, listen to this.
The second album from the critically acclaimed but relatively unknown British Neo-Prog/dance/indie/rock band. This album must be heard! Purely original and ultra hip. The band can be contacted by e-mail and seem like a great bunch of guys!
