BLACKMAIL is a heavy and progressive Swedish hard rock band. They have released two mCDs ("Schizophrenic" 1994 and "Female Impersonator"1996) that have recieved tremendous reviews from all parts of the world (exept Africa). Female Impersonator has not only been a success in printed magazines, it has also introduced BLACKMAIL in Cyberspace in a great way.Many webzines are giving BLACKMAIL special showcase features (some are not published yet); critics have written great comments like "this is an album you can`t live without" (Paul Autry, The 1/2 Creeper) and the website they published by the end of October 1996 quickly became a great success.Their records have been airplayed worldwide. The most wide spread broadcasts have been through Radio Marabu, an international network of underground stations, but also local radio stations in New York, California Cuba, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Sweden have given BLACKMAIL airplay.The average age of the band only 20. Still they are very experienced, with a long history starting with the stage debut in 1988. Danne, the drummer and youngest of the three, was only 10 at that time. They have routine from over 100 gigs, and the biggest crowd was estimated to 10000 people.
