Comments for Clover Bunnies, Clover Bunnies

The apparently self-titled release by the Clover Bunnies came out in December, 1994. The group consists of four then-students of Memorial High School in Eau Claire, WI (Abe Ryder, Brad Baumgartner, Nick DeCesare and Andy Palm - spelling may or may not be correct on all those names). The album consists of varying types of music, mainly revolving around a guitar. Among the notable features - a live rendition of the now classic "4 Square" from the 1994 MHS Varsity Show, "War", featuring lines spoken in German by fellow classmate Martin Gibbs, the synth and drum machine tribute to the commerical "Ricola", as well as live recordings of the songs "Corn Beef Hash" and "Celery", as well as "Back In The Year Of The Viking Day", recorded in 1992, and the short closer "The Store", recorded in 1993 (the previous two apparently recorded in a "studio"). All others seems to have been recorded in 1994. Only a limited edition on tape were released, so chances of finding a copy are next to impossible. The four members graduated the school year it was issued, 1994-1995, and with them attending different colleges, one can only guess whether or not there will be a follow-up.
