This song didn''t only become no. 1, it became the most successful song here in Germany up to now since it was no. 1 for about twelve weeks!!!! No song here was as successful as this one. Great song, great voices and a perfect production by the best producer. Check out the new album "Timeless" which is out now and you''ll find more of this.

When Andrea Bocelli released the first single off his Bocelli album called Con Te Partirò, the first song I ever heard him sing but on the 1997 CD Romanza, little did he know that the single would propel him to a massive victory like never before. That song went on to spend as long as 12 weeks at the top spot over in Belgium, and the 1995 album went on to overtake Il Mare Calmo Della Sera as Andrea’s second most popular CD. In 1996, just as the German boxing champion Henri Maske was in the process of preparing for his last bout, Sarah Brightman had to find a song to sing at this retirement fight, and when she heard Andrea’s Con Te Partirò in a restaurant, that was it. She went out and made contact with him, and the two of them re-recorded the song as the duet Time To Say Goodbye with members of the London Symphony Orchestra, afterward going on to sing it in public for the now-defeated Maske. Numerically speaking, this single became even more successful than the original version was. Having spent some 14 weeks at #1 over in Germany after its release, seems that no other single can rival this one. Not even Andrea’s Canto Della Terra would ever compete with this single. I know that the first song and Bocelli baby are incredible in themselves. Regarding “Sleep Tight,” a previously unreleased track, some Sarah fans say that this song is not great, but in my opinion, it really isn’t that bad. I mean, the lyrics do sound kind of meaningless, but there’s no way I would turn it down, you know. It almost made me cry. “You Take My Breath Away” was first included on the 1995 release of Fly. Here it is again, this time running over 7 minutes, and not bad, for what it is. There is also Sarah’s solo version of Time To Say Goodbye. It sounds exactly the same except Sarah sings the whole song by herself, with added embellishments. Fat chance although I still like Andrea’s solo version of them all, because when I got this single, not only did I own a part of its history, I actually became a part of its history. Same may go for those of you who feel the same way. Which is why A Question of Honour, MOVE OVER!!!
