Comments for Ochs, Phil, I Ain't Marching Anymore

E-MAIL: mthivier@bidmc.harvard.edu
Generally seen as a "poor man''s Dylan," Phil Ochs was at least Dylan''s equal and, in the opinion of many (including this writer''s), surpassing him; Where Dylan exploited the folk/protest movement and then moved on to mainstream stardom, Phil Ochs never was able to reconcile his principles with big money superstardom. He did, however, leave behind a fantastic body of work, much of which was contained in this album. His songs were unique in that they were able to inform and entertain at the same time.
