Comments for Redd Kross, Show World

"Show World" is the best produced album from this outstanding band, who got their start as a staple on the L.A. punk scene. The most obvious distinction Redd Kross (at that time "Red Cross" until the threat of a lawsuit came about) had that set them apart from their contemporaries was their ages. Brothers and founders of the band Jeff and Steven McDonald were only 14 and 11 respectively when they started out! Fast forward to 1997 to find the band playing self-assured Beatle-esque pop with loud crunchy guitars to boot. The opening cut is a Dickies cover. The rest of the album consists of hard-rocking power pop that only Redd Kross can make. A great album from America`s coolest band. Highly recommended.
