Comments for Bruce Hornsby, Harbor Lights

Bruce is highly under rated. He should get more credit for the great work he does.

After some uninspiring work on A Night On The Town, it''s a revelation to hear Hornsby''s latest efforts on Harbor Lights. The record has plenty of references to the first two albums The Way It Is and Scenes From The Southside. Being a solo album, it''s inevitably more piano and less guitar, this being brilliantly evident on the record''s first track, Harbor Light. Hornsby here kicks off with a classic, Hornsbyesqe piano-intro likely to thrill his fans. Other highlights are: Talk of the Town, Fields of Gray. Recommended strongly.
The artist may be known by his 1986 succes with "The Way It is".The music contains lots of brilliant piano passages. The style containsJazz, Rock, Blues sometimes Funk and Folk.Sounds delicious to me...
