Comments for Family, A Song For Me

A vibe and acoustic dominated album. Not bad, but not the diversity expected with Family`s albums. Drowned In Wine is the standout.

Another superb offering from one of the most talented bands of the era. Chapman's vocals range from the sublime (Some Poor Soul)to the manic (Drowned In Wine/ Wheels). Musically, once again, Family don't stand still on this album and explore the delights of the flute, violin and vibes to great effect; and this must have one of the most inventive acoustic guitar solos ever on Wheels.
