Comments for Altered Images, The best of Altered Images

This was the first of the Best of.. CD''s and what a disappointment. I was so thrilled when I got it since at that time "Happy Birthday" was the only thing available. It''s not the track listing that was the disappointment but the mastering. Several songs are missing the first note and faded out slightly earlier. "Happy Birthday" starts out with terrible sound quality and gradually gets better. "See those eyes" is the worst, the song actually starts fading while Clare is still singing. I was so pissed that I wrote to the company complaining. They wrote back and basically said Tough shit. Though now out of print this one is worth pursuing for completists, as long as you''re not a quality freak. Scott Davies 4/2/98
