Comments for Paladin, Charge

Although the drummer is my cousin, possibly the best feature of this album is the Roger Dean cover. But seriously - listen if you can get it, it`s good, Last seen on a compilation CD with the first album.

I purchased the album back in 1971, thanks to " an old friend" and still treasure it. Watching the World Pass By!! No song comes close.

The first time I heard "Watching the world pass by" was during a smoking session of a "home grown" party. Being a guitarist myself, the guitarwork on "Watchin" is superb, even according today's standards. The name of the guitarist was Dereck Foley. Allways wondered why he never made it big. That man is top class! Gave the album away, some twenty years ago. Yes, sometimes people do stupid things. If anybody can send me an e-mail with that song on an MPG file, you make me a very happy man. I would rate the album as an 8, but "Watching" is a 10 plus for me.

I first saw/listened to Paladin live, in a field near Braughing, Hertfordshire in 1971. Boy, were they good! Bought Charge soon after, and treasure the vinyl to this day.

I listened to Paladin's Charge! only now, in 2004 and I think this is a great art-rcok psych album, with excellent drummer, Keith Webb, smashing singer, superb songs, and very very strong arrangements

AWESOME! I run Peter Beckett's website for him, and email Keith and Peter Solley too. This band was amazing.Too bad they never made it to the States. I haven't heard anything that compares to this, and probably never will Patti Myers
