Comments for Angra, Fireworks

Checking out, I found there was no Angra entries in the database,which for me was uncomprenhensible! I mean, Angra is great. A bandthat started very similar to Helloween, musically speaking, then tkae their own path,mantaining some simmilitudes with both Helloween and Dream Theater, but never cloning either one.Their third LP "Fireworks", is `brutally melodic` (say what?). The songs are fast, melodic,energetic, beautiful, powerful, lyrically intelligent, in other words, real heavy metal.Considering, the trend to the so called metal these days (specially in the USA), Angra proves thatwhat comes in the beginnings of the 80`s in England, and most of the material that comes from Europe,also got a dignifying representative, this side of the Atlantic. If you doubt my word, go and check out"Fireworks", and look at songs like "Lisbon", "Extreme Dream", "Speed" (the rest is also astounding).Next time you look for true metal, give Latin America a chance, go fetch Angra!
