Comments for Cale, John, Fear

This is John Cale`s first collaboration with Brian Eno (who played synthesizer, treated instruments, and served as executive producer). The album alternates between beautiful, folky melodies (e.g., "Buffalo Ballet," "Emily") to assaultive rock attack (title track, "Gun"). Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music) lends his guitar talents for much of the album. A favorite album with Cale fans, "Fear" is also recommended for the uninitiated.
