I'd say this is one of the best rock/pop albums of the 1980s and all time. "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" is so great I never get bored of hearing it. She gets rebelious on "Nobody But You", emotional on "World Without You" and "I Get Weak", and playful on "I Feel Free". A really must-have album for anybody I think. The album was a #1 in 1987.

In my opinion, this is the quintessential California pop/rock album of the late 1980s. It is masterfully produced, arranged, and performed, and all of the songs are first-rate. Belinda's emotional voice and stirring vibrato work perfectly on all ten songs, and although there are highlights (the #1 hit "Heaven Is A Place On Earth", "Circle In The Sand", Diane Warren's "I Get Weak", etc.) the entire album is strong from start to finish. Rick Nowels and Ellen Shipley provide terrific songs while Rick is the mastermind behind the album, thanking Stevie Nicks in the liner notes. It's an album that remains fresh and new today, and an essential release in pop and rock music. 10/10.

This album has pop written all over it. You''re not truly a Belinda Carlisle fan without this album, so go-go buy it.
