Comments for Carpenter, Karen, Karen Carpenter

Thanks to Phil Ramone and A&M, and Richard Carpenter for finally releasing this long-awaited work from the beloved late singer. Distinctly divergent from the lushly ochestrated and heavily over-dubbed style that remains a hallmark of the "Carpenters" work, this album exhibits Ms. Carpenter's enormous talent in unexpected venues including disco and blues. An appearance by Peter Cetera on "Making Love In The Afternoon" is a special bonus as fans rarely have had an opportunity to hear Karen Carpenter perform with another talented artist. To her many fans...enjoy!

Karen's album was a refreshing and wonderful gift to me. I miss her wonderful talent and I'm very glad that Richard finally agreed to let this album be released. I would like to hear that Richard is still writing music and performing, somewhere. His music is missed also!! Thanks again for the release of this wonderful music. Karen is missed! Richard we need to hear from you!
