Best CD of 1994.

MCC does it again with another great album. She discusses societal problems with class, such as in "House of Cards." "Shut Up and Kiss Me" is just plain fun, with the help of Lee Roy Parnell on guitar.

Even better than Come On, Come On. House of Cards and Jubilee once again prove that Mary Chapin Carpenter is one of, if not the, best songwriter at work today.

MCC has an incredible gift to be able to write songs that speak to everyone at some level. Songs like "This Is Love", "Jubilee", "Outside Looking In", etc., are evidence of MCC's adroitness in this respect.

A follow-up album that actually lives up to the hype. Quite enjoyable, though her reading of the title track dims in comparison to the Joan Baez version.
