Comments for Carpenters, Close To You

"Close To You" was my introduction to the Carpenters in 1970. I loved it then, and have been a faithful fan ever since. I was fortunate enough to see them in concert two times. I deeply miss Karen! Would love to find the Richard solo album that came out in the late 80s and disappeared again.

"Baby it's You" and "Help" are great selections. Karen's voice is still so young and pure in 1970.

What a wonderful, great, and fantastic album! I love The Carpenters' music very much. Karen Carpenter is my favorite female singer of all time.

I have every one of the Carpenters C.D. and there all my favorites. It''s very sad what happend to Karen but she killed herself so it''s not so sad. I went to one of there concerts when I was young or should I say younger. we''ve Only Just begon is Grant my husband and my wedding song. it just makes me cry when ever I here that song because Grant died on our wedding night another car hit him. The time I found out he died I said if you can hear me I just want to say tell Karen I said hi. I want to kill myself because of his sudden death that night. well that''s all I want to say Bye and wish me luck!!!!

ANOTHER SONG is simply perfect. Certainly one of the top 5 Carpenters songs! The flute solo at the end is incredible!
