does anyone know what happened to this band?

This was a tremendous album. What ever happened to this band? I have the album on vinyl, but I want to get the CD.
This band should be huge. Their music is catchy as hell and they sound really good. Great aor music. There are many so called great aor bands out there but stabilizers is not so called. They are really great. As good as bands like def leppard and blue tears. If you like def leppard or blue tears, you will love this band. The only problem is there seems to be no information about this band. Who are they? Simply no info about them. A pity.

It is impossible to find this album on CD. This was an awesome album from start to finish. Where did they go?

I was the original keyboardist for the Stabilizers in Erie, PA in 1985. Following the success of their first album, released in '86, they recorded a second album in 1987. However, that was about the time that Sony took over CBS Records, and management pulled the plug on the second release. Even though I went to grad school in 1985, Dave and Rich invited me to play sax on a track of the second, unreleased album. Dave was kind enough to send me a cassette tape of the unreleased second album, "Teasing Enrico." I still have it, in good shape. I just have to digitize it into mp3s or whatever. Feel free to write me at jchuck1@hotmail.com if you have questions. Also, you can check out some of my music at http://www.mikeandjohnny.com/rockandroll.htm

Hey, if anyone knows where to get this on tape, CD, album or whatever, let me know! This is truly an awesome album! I'm totally bummed because I had it and lost it while moving. I've been searching for months.

Hi there, I was a big fan of the "Stabilizers". I have the CD of Tyranny and the soundtrack CD of "If looks could kill" with the song "Mabey this Time" I would LOVE to get some tracks of "Teasing Enrico" which I believe had the song from the soundtrack I mentioned earlier. I was really looking forward to that release, but sigh! no joy. What happened? Why did Sony pull the plug on an immenant huge band? I cherish my Tyranny CD like gold. I bought it in Toronto years ago and certainly feel lucky to have it because it is almost impossible to find now. What happened to Rich Nevens & Dave Christenson? Any information would be great, and putting the music you have on MP3 of "Teasing Enrico" would be Awesome. I would really like to hear stuff I have not heard from the Stabilizers again. It would really make my day. Thank once again for any information and for your time. Regards Edward de Freitas

I have anoriginal Cassette of Tyranny. Loved it in 1986. Found while while looking for new home. The band was ONLY 2 people (which makes it difficult for a band to the songs they did except in studio -- although today don't know). But it's in great shape and still sounds great. Will contact person below to get new one. This was music that kept things moving in the Silicon Valley during that heyday time. MBW -- 51 -- 9/2/03
Richard Nevens is currently the Executive Vice President of Sales for the Americas at Euphonix, a high end audio company that produces digitally controlled consoles and hard disk recorders. Dave Christenson is now at Solid State Logic (SSL) after spending several years at Euphonix with Richard. He was recently appointed as Manager Post Production, North America. SSL is one of the most well known manufacturers of high end audio consoles.
