Absolutely fabulous. All my favorites were on here, especially, "No Better Place."

I think SCC is wonderful. Seeing the concert video and hearing this release really made me kick myself for missing him live and in person. What an excellent concert!

A good live album. Almost too safe however - when I go to concerts, I love to see the act take chances musically. On "The Live Adventure" it's almost too polished. Take out some of the studio polish and add some crowd noise to earlier albums, and you have basically the same thing. But the extra bits are nice, like the in-between talks, the alternate versions of "The Great Adventure" :), and especially the acoustic medley.

if you haven't seen Steven live,JUST DO IT!Coming from a rock and roll background,I had trouble finding Christian concerts that were as exciting as the old rock bands I was used to seeing.Until I saw Steven. This album captures that excitement.I agree that it is polished, but let's face it,you go to a live show to hear familiar songs. I've been to concerts where the band goes off on tangents and you wonder what song they are even playing.Steven has the sense to stay with the original material.God gave him the songs and for Steven to change them just for entertainment value would be VERY unChristian. It's like correcting God's "mistakes" and trying to do it better yourself. The bottom line:This captures the intimacy and excitement of Steven's show. You feel like you are seeing a friend at his concerts.I got the same feeling while listening to this album.

Sorry - I disagree 100% with the statement that changing songs are "unchristian" - Look at the new greatest hits video... he redid More to the Life, as well as some other songs. Is he going against God''s will? No. Even the bible is reinterpreted to make it more relevant and easier to understand for each generation (I''m not talking about these gender-inclusive versions - I''m referring to NIV, NSRVm etc.) Songs - even Christian songs - are not set in stone. I believe laner@bigfoot.com was alluding to the fact that most live acts change the songs around a little to make it interesting - maybe make it more upbeat or driving to create a better "live" vibe. dc Talk''s "Welcome to the Freak Show" is a great example of this. Their live songs take on a life of their own, but the message is not compromised in any way.
