Comments for Chapman, Steven Curtis, Signs of Life

Steven is the greatest. I never think that he can top his last album, but he always does!! This one is great with a hip new sound!

One of his best, although I have to disagree somewhat with the "jazzy sound" bit. While "Signs of Life" and "Celebrate You" are a bit on the jazzy side, Steven's love for the blues comes out on this album. Some of his most mature lyrics and themes to date. Brown Bannister and the all-star studio musicians gave SCC's music a real boost.

His efforts to walk new roads lyrically and musically have certainly paid off. Excellent release -- I love all the different guitars!

This is the REAL Steven Curtis.On this album he returned to his roots and left the "pop" style for the music he grew up with,blues. As a guitarist i can say that Steven BURNS on guitar on this album. Even my non Christian acquaintances love this album. Every song is very personal and delves into Steven's life.Yet, the themes can be applied by everyone on a daily basis. If you haven't heard Steven Curtis,start here.You won't be disappointed.

This is one of SCC's best projects to date. Although, I believe that every album he has is wonderful. His music is an inspiration to my life.

I forgot to mention in my last comment that I think that my favorite songs on this album are LET US PRAY and HOLD ON TO JESUS. I love the guitar intro to LET US PRAY, and the lyrics on HOLD ON TO JESUS are extremely powerful. By the way, has anyone else noticed that there is one very important album missing from this list. SCC's third project: More To This Life. That album is my favorite. I first saw SCC perform after the release of that project, and I have been a faithful fan ever since. More To This Life also contains one of the (many) most popular songs SCC has ever written: I WILL BE HERE.

This is one of SCC''s best albums. I used this album to get my friends to listen to all Christian music! A guy came up to me in the store one day and said he just started listening to Christian music, what should he get? I just handed him this album!
