Comments for Charlatans UK, Some Friendly

Arguably the best album to come out of the (now-defunct) Manchester scene. Highlights include "The Only One I Know", a top ten single at the time, and the wonderful "Then". The best track of the album is its last, "Sproston Green", a hazy, psychedelic masterpiece which begs to be played at top volume. "Some Friendly" remains one of the best albums produced in the 1990s, even if the band's fame has faded of late. Don't just take my word for it...go out and get it!!!! jim

Whenever I listen to this album it allways makes me smile! Sproston Green is one of the bands best songs ever, when played live at the end of a set the atmosphere is just electric!

This album marked a great part of my life.Every time i hear "you´re not very well"i can´t stop move my feet.

Although Sproston Green is probably the best track off the album Believe You Me is my current favourate. Brilliant album, not the best of the four but great nonetheless.

brilliant album,the only one i know and then are brilliant singles but sonic and believe you me are the highlights.

There are no best tracks on this album, because they all rock!!!! my favs: you''re not very well, polar bear, white shirt, flower, sproston green, then, believe you me, oppurtunity, sonic, the only one i know, 109pt2 if you don''t own this album, you must either not have a pulse or you are seriously out of touch with the cool people!! if you don''t own this album you have NO music sense!!!
