Comments for Cheap Trick, All Shook Up

Other strong songs on this album include: "World's Greatest Lover" and the strange but definetely rockin' "High Priest Of Rhythmic Noise". George Martin's input is evident in the amount of orchestral arrangements on the album, particularly on the highly under-rated "Stop This Game".

"Go for the throat" contains one of Tom's greatest bass lines. This album and the first one, in my opinion, are the best they've done.

Definitely their most underrated album! This is definitely the most ecclectic and experimental of all their stuff- despite the heavy handed production. I love this one!

Agreed that this is one of CT's most underrated efforts... Rick's solo on "Go for the Throat" is rock 'n roll perfection.

"Just Got Back" and "Baby Loves To Rock" are classic Cheap Trick. However, the album overall, sounds as if the band were tired.

A very underrated album that might have suffered because just before the album came out it was announced that Tom had left the band. Also, in leaving the band, Tom took two songs from the album with him, reportedly to re-do with his next band, allegedly slated to be called "Dagmar" after his wife. I don't believe any of this came to pass, though I did see an album he did with his wife several years later (on vinyl). "Can't Stop It But I'm Gonna Try" is a great song, and "World's Greatest Lover" has Rick's best guitar solo. Trivia note: just before the album came out, Tom also had the spelling of his name legally changed to "Peterson" with one "s." By the time he rejoined the band years later, the second "s" was back in!

A great album, but not one of their best.

The other day I was wathcing a very old episode of Saturday Night Live and Cheap Trick was the featured artist. They performed "Can't Stop It" and "Baby Likes To Rock". The band sounded incredible. I think it is time that Cheap Trick pulls a "KISS" and perform their older music only. Their early music was some of the best music around at that time.

Always liked this album. When I bought it and listened to it I thought wow this is pretty heavy compared to their earlier albums. I like this album but wouldn't say it was my favorite. My favorite songs on the album are "Stop This Game" Just Got Back and High Priest Of Rythmic Noise.
