Comments for Cheap Trick, Standing On The Edge

My personal favorite. Their last awesome album. Why they released "Tonight It's You" as their first single is beyond me. It's a great song, but something a little heavier would most likely have done better. Every song is excellent. "Little Sister", "Love Comes", "Rock All Night", and "Cover Girl" are exceptional stand-outs.

This is a great album, even if Rick's name was misspelled on the cover. "Standing On The Edge" is among the band's best songs, "Little Sister" and "Cover Girl" are wonderful, and "Tonight It's You" is a great single.

Produced by Jack Douglas (he also produced their debut and Budokan albums). This has got to be their most underated albums. If only an album like this would come out now.

the washed out, processed production almost ruins a great set of songs
Rick Nielsen, Robin Zander, Bun E.Carlos, and Jon Brant standclose, but not close enough, to the edge in this 1985 release. The one night stand ballad "Tonight It`s You" is a beautifullyorchestrated piece especially for the immediate satisfaction generation. Most of the songs are hard driving in the CheapTrick fashion. A must for CT fans!

Tonight It's You follows in the great mishaps of cheap tricks' career. It shoulda coulda woulda been a massive hit if they would have been promoted right! First Step in the right direction! Great songs great hooks, and cool sound!!! I love everything about it! Then came The Doctor, and they just took another step back! .... and the rest was history!
