Comments for Chicago, Chicago 19

E-MAIL: RJJasin@MSN.com
This album is a pleasure to listen to the whole way through. The band no longer has just one principal singer, but the addition of Bill Champlin doing lead vocals more than any Chicago record to date. The album is much more rock oriented than 18. Jason Scheff's vocals have become much stronger and radiant compared to 18.

Where 17 and 18 excelled in classic love songs, classic rock is the order of the day in 19. That''s not to say it''s without its incredible love songs - "I don''t wanna live without your love" is one of their best, but excellent tracks like "Heart in pieces", "Come in from the night", "Look away" etc. give this album a harder edge. "Look away" got to number 1 in the USA, their third such single (the others were "If you leave me now" (from X) and "Hard to say I''m sorry" (from 16)).
Excellent a cappella teaser in the opener ... and a strong inspirationcloser. Lots of songs from this album got some decent radio time.
