Comments for Chicago, Chicago VI

E-MAIL: rljm2@hermes.cam.ac.uk
Chicago start to drift towards AOR from here, but there are still enough original touches in the LPs to make them classics. This one''s no exception, and the first track "Critic''s choice", takes a nice swipe at the people who, back in the seventies, called us all idiots for buying this album. I recently read that VI was supposed to be one of the top 20 "worst albums to make no. 1" - why anyone bothers to make lists like these is beyond me: perhaps these people should listen to the lyrics of the songs first, especially "Critic''s choice"! Other classics include "Just you ''n'' me" and "Feelin'' stonger everyday", which give a feel for the way the band is going - what makes these songs so good is... well, I don''t know, there''s just something about them. Listen for yourselves!!
The first Chicago album, and one of only 2 thus far, to have a picture of the band on the cover (The other being`Hot Streets`)
