Comments for Chicago, Night & Day

A bold attempt by a band who are nearly 30 years old to try to give a "modern" feel to some even older songs. In some cases, it succeeds, the highlight in my view being the superb version of Glenn Miller''s "Moonlight serenade". Other good tracks are "Chicago", "Dream a little dream of me", "In the mood" (Glenn Miller again) and "Don''t get around much anymore". A couple of tracks though, in particular "Take the ''A''-Train" reduce into a shambles of discordant harmonies, which is a shame as Chicago are undoubtedly a very talented band. Overall though, some good light-hearted stuff.

great attempt at doing the old big band.Night and Day is produced perfectly, take the a train...great tune but fizzles out at the end to a bunch of clatter..all in all a great contemporary effort at covering the old standards!!!!!!!
