Too bluesy and happy for those who prefer Clapton's harder-edge rock.
E-MAIL: HAIY@musicb.mcgill.ca
The "bluesy" sound on the album is a tribute to his roots as a musician. His new album is evidence that we all get tired of the hard edge electric sound after years of repetition.

These people who made the comments above me obviously do not know much about music and Eric Clapton himself. I have every single solo album that Eric has ever released and Unplugged is one of the freshest and the best. It is not really that "bluesy" as anyone who listens to the blues will tell you. And as for his "harsh" electri sound, they have obviously never heard such songs as "Wonderful Tonight" Eric Clapton is a highly original artist, he strives to make every album different from the one before it. He is one of the LEAST repetetive musicians I had ever heard in my like. B.B King is fantastic but he is repetetive. John Lee Hooker, is great but repetetive. Eric Clapton is NOT.

I am enjoying the track "old love". I am playing this on my guitar. Last week I have heard this track live from another album of eric Clapton. My question to the Eric Clapton fans is: " From which album is this old love?"
E-MAIL: cynthia@nosc.mil
live old love is from the 24 nights double cd.
E-MAIL: pmj@cs.nott.ac.uk
An excellent album, but it is more blues than classic rock
E-MAIL: D.Sargeant@student.anu.edu.au
Old Love can be found on three albums. There are live versions on 24 Nights and Unplugged (Electric and Acoustic accordingly) and the original version (which he performs with co-writer of the song Robert Cray) can be found on the Journeyman album.

If Robert Johnson were alive he would be proud of his big influence on Clapton's singing and playing technique.

THIS CD SUMS UP WHAT AN OUTSTANDING ARTIST EC REALLY IS,, IT HAS IT ALL, ROCK AND BLUES, I WOULD PUT THIS ON MY TOP FIVE CD'S TO BE TAKEN WITH ME IF I WAS GOING TO BE STRANDED ON A ISLAND.

Great album and even better laserdisc, which I never tire from watching. I seen reviews that say that this is not the real Clapton, and I seen an interview where Clapton said he wasn't sure he wanted to release it - but I'm glad he did.

I worship the ground this bastard walks on. Iwould kiss his feet if I was worthy. His music releases my inner feelings and I just want to shag him senseless. I will see you in another life. So long and thanks for all the fish.

Clapton don´t need electronic. All he need is a guitar. And then he shows us, that he is a master of guitar playing.

Je suis revenu à la guitare accoustique après ni avoir touché pendant 20 ans! C'est Clapton qui m'a redonné le goût d'en jouer avec son chef-d'oeuvre ¨UNPLUGGED¨...

A great album from a great entertainer. He's not a bluesman, but he does his best to capture it. Old Love is a masterpiece. Check out the original on Journeyman.

Who is this person that states that EC is not a bluesman? Have you never listened to Clapton's work with John Mayall, Delaney & Bonnie, Duane Allman, Buddy Guy, Clarence Gatemouth Brown, or Freddie King? A bluesman indeed! It would be interesting to hear B.B. King's opinion on whether or not EC is a bluesman!

Hey, plugged, unplugged, the MAN can PLAY!! As far as the critics who say he's become too "POP" and has lost his blues roots.... I say BULL!!!!! You only need to hear him live, then you can see and feel it when he plays, and you know it's coming from the place where blues resides, the heart. And for those who miss his early style, I suggest they purchase Robin Trower's latest CD,"20th Century Blues"--- the raw power trio sound that's been missing since the 70's. Humm, Clapton & Trower, both in their prime......now there's a wet dream!!!! Who say's thereis no such thing as "white-boy blues"?? Which brings me to one last question... Clapton has shared a stage with so many great guitarist over the years, I wonder why he's never played with Trower?? Just wondering out-loud.... love ya E.C.!!!!!!

I love the song "Tears In Heaven." LONG LIVE ERIC CLAPTON !!! -Guitar 101
E-MAIL: gringo@tnp.com
to hear some good "white-boy blues," listen to clapton with john mayall & the bluesbreakers. some of that shit really cooks. if you listen to "little girl" a couple of times, you won't be able to get it out of your head for a week.
