Comments for Soundtrack, Earth Girls Are Easy: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

This album varies from the music that's heard in the film. The most noticable difference is "(I Used to Worship) The Ground You Walk On," which was performed by Geena Davis in the film. On this album, the song is in totally different form (I HATE it) performed by Jill Jones. The other glaring difference is "Brand New Girl," which has been remixed and vocals have been changed. Although writer-Julie Brown's other song, the airhead anthem "'Cause I'm a Blonde," appears on the soundtrack, the third song "I Like 'Em Big and Stupid," which plays at the club (and is a deleted musical number available on the DVD) isn't avaiable here. Both versions of "Big and Stupid" were released on Brown's solo albums, "Goddess in Progress" and "Trapped in the Body of a White Girl." Also notable, the title track appeared with completely different lyrics (ala "Leader of the Pack") on Brown's 1984 "Goddess in Progress" album.
