Comments for Prolapse, backsaturday

polygon review
A largely improvised LP, recorded over two days and unsurprisingly lacking the polish of their debut "Pointless Walks To Dismal Places", this is an album to startle fans and newcomers alike. Several tracks, in particular the 15-minute "Flex", are not no much songs as grooves (in the nicest sense), though one would have to be pretty demented to actually dance to them. The rhythmic section, whose contribution to the Prolapse sound often gets overlooked, really shine on this LP, though the last couple of tracks on side two do tend toward dirginess. Highlights are the frisky "Mein Minefield, Mine Landmine" with shouter Scottish Mick on top form, and the truly scrumptious dubby "Zen Nun Deb".
