Comments for PORCO 69, SEMPRE IN MEZZO AI GUAI

First CD of this band which features various well known faces of the Northern Italy skinhead scene. With Adl 122 and Soluzione Violenta ex-members and a guitar player with a hardcore past which influences the sound very much of these angry (not so young) proud men, Porco 69 are a kick in the testicles and one to the teeth of enemies and friends. Excellently produced, with most of the tracks driving at mad speed, packed in a nice lay out with pictures and lyrics, with just a couple of weak moments (I think about “Primo pelo”), but anyway at excellent level of power and enthusiasm, something always more lacking in most of Italian releases. Juniori’s voice is totally bastardly, as the chorus which is perfect for the explicit lyrics that are quite in line with the cropped head lifestyle, attacking everything which moves on the street and dwells behind closed doors. My favourite song is the slow “Skinhead”, sung in English, but it seems these boys like to run fast at hardcore speed with a collection of mad splinters which seldom reach three minutes, excluded the epical “La legione che non cede”, which brings back to memory DIVISION 250 from the “Sangre del conquistadores” era. There’s also some space left for personal interpretations of Cockney Rejects and Exploted. Classics. A good debut after years of wait.
