Comments for The Wallflowers, Breach

If it's lovely melodies and catchy rock tunes you're after then this album is for you. The songs are all very well structured and the guitar solos are top notch. The overall feel of the album is quite despondant and listening to the lyrics can sometimes worsen an already bad mood such as 'Birdcage' and 'Mourning Train'. Thankfully not all the songs have this effect and ones like 'Letters From The Wasteland' uplift your spirits! Not only are The Wallflowers very talented musicians they also know how to write brilliant lyrics. It is obvious that a few of these guys have been through some tough times with women and have been really hurt in the past and this is wonderfully demonstrated in some of the songs. Many people will be quite moved by the feelings and emotions that the songs give out! A very accomplished album that should be on your CD shelf but shouldn't be listened to if you've just been dumped!!!
