Comments for Cocteau Twins, Garlands

How can it be that this is not everybody´s favorit album? When I listen to it I´m in a different life.

Noisy, uninteresting, and a far cry from the greatness that the Twins would become in subsequent albums. The electronic percussion sounds like it's coming from a cheap Casio keyboard. Liz's vocals aren't that great, and the songs just seem to ramble about aimlessly. Also there's no bottom end in the mix, it's too trebly.

This is my favourite album and I haven''t got anything else to comment. It''s so deep, so beautiful...

"Garlands" is by far the most amazing piece of music on the 4AD label. Even rivalling the greatness of let's say DCD, TMC and The Wolfgang Press. Don't let anyone tell you different. Also the "Lullabies" EP is utterly brilliant, so if you haven't got that, get it!
