Comments for Creedence Clearwater Revival, Mardi Gras

Hello, there. You have found your way to the CCR "Mardi Gras" review page. A Rolling Stone reviewer once stated that this was "the worst album ever recorded by a major rock band". Well, I don't think I would go that far, but it's arguably CCR's worst album. Most of Mardi Gras simply sounds like leftovers and rejected material from Cook (bassist) and Clifford (drummer). The Fogerty stuff is clearly disappointing when held up to the light of his previously penned material. The only exception being the rockin' "Sweet Hitch-Hiker" which actually sounds quite out of place here....
