Comments for Cohn, Marc, Marc Cohn

It has the great songs from walking in Memphis plus other great tracks. It has humor, love, nostalgia and americana. Great Stuff! He reminds me of Neil Young. Some people say that Cohn is even better than the great Hootie and the Blowfish.

I work in the music industry and am curious what has happened to Marc Cohn. If anyone know, please e-mail me any current information about album release, touring, history, bio, etc. Thanks.

Marc Cohn recently did a song for the movie "The Cure", called "My Great Escape". It's a great song. It does not appear on the soundtrack to the Cure, though. If anyone knows where I can get a recording of it, please email me! thank you! -Jon Ruth gmxd@grove.iup.edu

"Marc Cohn" is almost certainly the best album I own, and I own hundreds and hundreds of great albums. Anyone who has ever liked Billy Joel, James Taylor, Bruce Sprinsteen, Elton John, Bruce Hornsby, Van Morrison, Michael McDonald or The Band will find that Marc's first album instantly propelled him to the top of the list. That he is not more popular is an American tragedy. Buy this record -- it rewards repeated listening.

Truly a great artist for those who gravitate toward the folk side of rock. The production quality is excellent, with good orchestration and lyrics. A must for any folk/rock collection. My suggested tunes are Ghost Train, Saving the Best for Last, and Perfect Love.

It is unfotunate that this man is not as popular as he is. If popularity was measured on style and quality then Marc would be above almost any other artist. This album surely must be one of the best off all time, one of the few albums that endure constant playback. ''Strangers in a car'' and ''Saving the best for last'' really are superb !
