Comments for Jacques & Nigel, Love Court (Single)

Sales for this album proved disappointing as it was unable to be included into the majority of leading retail databases, because of its lack of a name (though that didn't seem to stop mysterious Icelandic band Sigur Ros in 2002, with their similarly titled () album). Regardless, the LP sold several thousand copies from the group's Web site.

Ok, whatever. Jacques & Nigel are total phonies, and this album bites! I'd give this a 2 out of 10, at a stretch. A complete lack of melody and structure hamper this album. The wildness and variety that made "naTiON sHOck!" memorable are totally absent. Stick with Aphex Twin or Joan of Arc if you want experimental music.

I disagree with the last reviewer, Jacques and Nigel are always looking for the new thing in the avant scene. I ordered it from their old Web site ( I think its gone now ) anmd I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me. IF you have patience with it, you'll begin to appreciate it.

Oh God...where to begin. I don't know that I've ever hated an album this much...except for all that American hair metal shite. No wonder these guys couldn't get this album into the shops! What I don't understand is why so many people are so keen on this group's "music"...awful.

If I had a band, it would be called "How Cool Stephie's Website About How Cool She Is Is". That's so much better than Jack and Nigel. Love Stephie Frommer
