Comments for Cowboy Junkies, The Trinity Session

I believe this is the best of all their albums. The cover song of Lou Reeds "Sweet Jane" is even better than the original, if one were to compare.

"The Trinity Session", according to the liner notes, was "Captured live at the Church of the Holy Trinity in Toronto, Canada on November 27, 1987...using only a Calrec Ambisonic Microphone." For you audio buffs out there, this is a fantastic sounding recording. It's also fun to hear the DAT rocorder peak out (listen for chirps in "Mining for Gold". Enjoy

This is a great album, and I agree that Sweet Jane is better than the Lou Reed version...But hey! What do you expect...Margo is singing...

In my opinion "To Love is to Bury" is the most beautiful tune on this record. On the whole this album belongs definitely to the Canadian Top Ten.

This is the only Cowboy Junkies album I've ever heard and I must say that if this any indicator of their work, I'm definitely hooked Does anybody know if they still tour on a regular basis?

Wow...... will be remembered as a classic if humankind survives. Walking After Midnight yanked at my heart strings. In my view, the best version ever of Blue Moon. One hasn''t heard Blue Moon until one hears Margos haunting version.

The Cowboy Junkies are, contrary to the appearance of theirname, not a country group. Much of their music is traditional and folktunes. The core members of the group are Margo Timmins (vocals),Michael Timmins (guitar), Peter Timmins (drums), Alan Anton (bass), andJohn Timmins (guitar, backing vocals). Margo and Michael also write anumber of the songs.
