The lap steel player on this album is the same as Blue Rodeo's. He did this album on a request from the Junkies.

It's a wonderful combination of the Blues and Rock. Anniversay song is a beautiful ballad for all people in love thank you

I'm undecided between this or Trinity Session as my favorite CJ album. Every track on this one is strong (even though Anniversary Song feels to me like an "intentional single"), the music is varied in style and fits the feel of each song (the look-behind-your-shoulder frantic "Hunted" contrasted with the wide loneliness of "Pale Sun" and wistful fear/hope of "Ring On the Sill" for example) and even the cover ("Hard To Explain") is well-chosen for Margo's voice. They're definitely maturing as a group.

I friggen love this album! I just recently listened to it, it's actually my dad's. It's better than most of the B.S. put out by bands recently. They have an original style and a lot of talent. If I had any money, I'd go get one of their others. I liked "Hunted" and "Crescent Moon". I like to sing along with the CD. I guess that's all.

hmmm. I''m a real junkies junky. I just saw them live and they are fantastic! I have to disagree, however, with the comments on this album. This is by far my least favorite junkies album. Miles from our home is better, but my 2nd least favorite.
Perhaps their best since "The Trinity Session," this albumis more upbeat than previous albums. Lead singer MargoTimmins continues her wonderful blues-filled singing.Brother Michael wrote most of the songs and these are someof his best yet. Some of the best tracks include "Ring onthe Sill" and "Anniversary Song."
