Comments for Creedence Clearwater Revival, Willy and the Poor Boys

If anyone thought CCR was a one-format band, this release definitely proved them wrong. Virutally every song is part of a different musical style, which provides for a wonderful variety of great tunes. The closing apocalyptic "Effigy" is one of Fogerty's masterpieces.

This is probably my most favorite album it is a wonderful combination of old folk songs and new rock of the time. I especially like effigy and i am dissapointed it did not appear on either chronicles one or two. i guess that is just a gift for the true CCR fans.
