Comments for Straw, Shoplifting

OK, so its the middle of 2005 and 6 years after the release of Straw Shoplifting I am sadened yet secretly glad that a band has not yet come close to match these Bristol based Indie masterminds! If you flick through your CD's and find Mansun - Attack of the Grey Lantern, The Bluetones - Return to the last chance Saloon and The Charlatans - Tellin Stories. You may want to ask yourself, which sadistic radio DJ deprived you the airplay of Straw Shoplifting and why its not sat nestled between Blur - Parklife and Kula Shaker - K! As the pure energy of this Album lifts My Mission 753e Floorstanders into life like no other CD! The first time I heard this album It was leant off a friend who couldn't shut up about it, I remember driving all the way to Fleetwood to pick it up for him. It took me about 6 months to give it back, so I finally went to HMV in the Trafford Center to buy my very own copy, which I leant to someone and never got back, so I am on my second copy now, which sits constantly in my car CD player! If you want to sit back on a weekday evening in your favourate chair and crank up your expensive stack system then there is no other option, the power of Wake Up (Miss Venuezuala)or Dracula has risen from the grave, Will throw you into a spin of lucious britpop vibes and electric lyrics matched by no other! Please don't take my word for it, just go out and buy a copy. 5 years now me and Straw Shoplifting have been together and out of all my CD's this is the one I would never lend out!
