Comments for Dead Milkmen, The, Not Richard, But Dick

While the length of the album is disapointing, this is perhaps the most consistent record the Milkmen have put together. Musically, they've come in the last two albums - this is more bassy and dark than Soul Rotation. Lyrics, as ever, are strong, though lacking the sharp satire and some of the humour of earlier material. Leggo My Ego, Jason's Head, I Started To Hate You and The Woman Who Was Also A Mongoose are four of the best songs they've ever recorded comprising their classic qualities - humour, pace and real, though understated, punk energy.
