Comments for Deep Purple, Who Do We Think We AreE-MAIL: michael.lorentzen@swipnet.se Year of release is 1973 not '74. michael.E-MAIL: prestoc@es.co.nz No doubt the weakest of the MKII albums, but not as bad as some make out. "Place In Line" ranks as one of my personal DP favourites.E-MAIL: wunkery@mci2000.com Gee, I don't know... I think Rat Bat Blue's got a killer riff. Jon Lord throughout the album sounds heavier than usual. I think the Blackmore/Gillan feuding helped spark the music. "Smooth Dancer" and "Woman from Tokyo" are awesome stuff. Can't figure out why so many people think this is a weak album!! I totally disagree. When it was first released it was a shame that they only performed "Mary Long" live and not some of the other tracks. submitted by Al Alberg, in care of the above email address!E-MAIL: wunkery@mci2000.com Gee, I don't know... PLACE IN LINE shows the band in a great BLUES mood.RB plays great .....the hit song WOMAN FROM TOKYO is here......MARY LONG has one of GILLANS best vocals and the lyrics are superb! i like this WHO DO WE THINK WE ARE just as much as MACHINE HEAD. oh.....another thing...IAN PAICES drum and cymbal work is the best recorded stuff he ever did on a purple album! brianComments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
