This is not as magnificent as "Mule", but it''s sharper and maybe even a little gutsier. (It seems that for everyone, their first Alice Donut album is always the sweetest.)
One of the most politically oriented Donut albums you`llever find. Tracks 3 and 5 are both anti-Gulf War songs
I agree with the other poster. This was my first Donut album and it's still by FAR my fave. Right from the opening, the bass grooves. The guitars make rickety lines that nevertheless drive the point home. And then there's the voice. For a while back in the day, they were being compared to "Nothing's Shocking" Janes Addiction but with an Alternative Tentacles twist. I'd agree that's apt.
