Possibly the last good Dio album unitil Strange Highways. If you liked this, check out Holy Diver, their first release.

Personally I think this is just one faze in his long career, begining with Ronnie Dio and the prophits, then later to elf. Then, he was in rainbow with Richie Blackmore, then Sabbath, Then Dio. He has made his albums progresivly harder-edged, and Last in line was, IMHO one of his best..(although I love all his albums to death).

Dio''s in the New Age section!?!?
Ronnie James Dio`s 1984 effort was probably overlooked due to the break through that metal had in that year with acts suchas Van Halen (with the album 1984), Sammy Hagar (Voa), and the pop-crossover acts from the now comical Twisted Sister (Stay Hungry)and Quiet Riot (Metal Health). Dio`s previous masterpiece, The MobRules when he was with Black Sabbath, is echoed in this album withsome degree of success. Tracks such as We Rock, The Last in Lineand Mystery gained airplay on radio, and videos were seen with someregularity on MTV and Much Music (canadian). Given the aptnessto mysticism and the occult that most of his works contain, this particular album has referrences to such, but seems more interestedin just putting together a good Metal album. If you liked metal aroundthis phase of the music`s history, you will definitely like this one.
