Comments for Dion, Celine, Celine Dion

Celine has one of the most powerful voices in pop music, yet squanders much of her talent on very thematic, predictable ballads. "Love Can Move..." shows that she has the ability to deliver soul. Her best performance ever was on the David Letterman show, singing Tina Turner's "River Deep, Mountain High."

Celine overcomes the sophomore slump with this great album. She firmly establishes herself as a vocalist for the nineties! I agree that her performance of "River Deep, Mountain High" was one of her best efforts. It was just as moving hearing her sing it as the legendary Tina Turner.

Wonderful sophomore release trumps "Unison." The ballads "If You Ask Me To," "Show Some Emotion," and "If You Could See Me Now" showcase Celine's heartfelt, soulful vocals at their peak. "Nothing Broken But My Heart" and "Water From the Moon" are other noteworthy gems, and "Love Can Move Mountains" is Celine's best uptempo track to date. Only the mediocre "Did You Give Enough Love" and "A Little Bit of Love" weigh things down. Otherwise the disc never steps wrong.

Just not that good. When you get the feeling that millions of people cannot be wrong - play this CD.

Millions of people CAN be wrong, as evidenced by everything from "Three's Company" to Ronald Reagan. And this "vocalist" (I hesitate to call her a singer, because to my ears, she's screaming more than she's singing) is the latest example. Pure schlock.

I think Celine Dions sucks big cocks
Light, seductive, moving, powerful, gentle, gorgeous, and romantic are just a few words that describe Celine Dion`s 1992 self-titled release. Although the album does not have the emotional diversity and strength of DION CHANTE PLAMONDON and D`EUX (THE FRENCH ALBUM), it is still a gem of an album. The focus of the album is love and the loss of it. Celine`s voice cooly slides over the swaying arrangements on "Halfway to Heaven", while she reveals a more soulful side on "Show Some Emotion". Written by Diane Warren, "Water from the Moon" is a notably moving ballad. All of the songs on the album are unobtrusive and very easy to enjoy. "With This Tear", composed by Prince, is one of the most beautiful song recorded.

Screams? Well, she probably shows emotion in her music, it’s her choice whether to scream or not. I am female yet one of her long-standing fans so just LEAVE US ALONE!

Dear Celine, I am just a portugees teacher in Holland. This year I gave lessons to a girl that looks exactely like you: Jantine van Buuren from Zevenhoeven - Holland. She was crying because she lose are contract to work in Angola. May be you can use her as an look a like/double. Best Regards, Ricardo Caldas (Amsterdam)

One of the damn best albums I own. People who say Celine can’t sing obviously don’t know what they’re talking about. Why don’t you audition on “American Idol” so Simon can laugh at you?
