This album is truly the best progressive hard-rock album! EVER! The last song - Learning to Live (13/12 beat (sorry, I don't know how to write that in English)) is a masterpiece. If you're not used to progressive bands then Metropolis will certainly drive you mad, but when you Learn to Listen then this becomes the most cool party song ever! This group is the hard-rock version of Chich Coreas Elect- ric band! No other group can do this after them! Enjoy!

Definitely the best of artist, although all are great! It is the best disk I have bought ever! No joke! Great musicianship: from keys to guitar, bass to drums...everything!

Dream Theater is one of the best, accurate, and intense bands known to man! Their style of music is called "Progressive Metal" not Hard Rock. I would suggest them to anyone who is tired of listening to the medicore music that is so popular today! DT surpasses musical genius and creates musical, mental, and physical harmony.

Un bellissimo disco!! Inizialmente i Dream Theatre non li conoscevo...con "Images and Word" ho imparato a conoscerli e ad apprezzarli!

Without a doubt the greatest album I own. This is the perfect progressive album. It is better than Awake and nothing really compares. It displays all of the members at their best. Great album.

Enjoy !

Incredible, absolutely incredible!!! The recording is slick and smooth - not a single note out of place. To change anything would compromise the whole. This has got to be the greatest progressive metal - oh hell, greatest CD period - of all time. DT really shows that they can do it all, and do it better than anybody. A must have for any true music fanatic.

As a guitarist, this was the most refreshing and inspiring piece of music to hit the scene. The guitar and overall songwriting skills portrayed on this album have kept me satisfied through this barrage of no talent grunge guitarist in the mainstream. Great album!

I wonder if I need add anything more after reading all those hymns about "Images And Words".All I want to say is that this is an album that can hardly be matched by anything that is out these days.Even Dream Theater themselves will have a hard time writing an album as good as this again.

Probably the heaviest DT CD to date with only the shortest tracks being ballads ("Another Day" (4:16) and "Wait For Sleep" (2:31)). No band has ever possessed the quality that Dream Theater has. From the opening notes of "Pull Me Under" right down to the nearly 12-minute epic "Learning To Live", this has got to be one of the best albums in a long time.

DT has been my favorite band for about 4 years now. No one matches them, though some other bands may come somewhat close. The best album ever.

I should have given a 11 rating for this album. Probably the best record ever. Metropolis and Learning to Live (with 11/12, I think :-)) are my favourites. Mike's playing is incredible, awesome challenge for a drummer to reproduce. Marvellous feeling to succeed in doing that!
